Hey Everyone!
It's almost about a year of Agape and Ashley Kay Design. I would like to personally say THANK YOU for supporting my brand. It has been a journey that has been rewarding and a little crazy (that's fashion right?). But I'm glad I have something I can wear and know and share with you. Thank you, and happy birthday to AKD!
This season is all about Education & Learning. Learning more about what Black History means to me all year around, not just February. I wanted to pay homage to Civil Rights Leaders and Black Culture and hope to educate and start conversation. It's important that American Black History is not erased because it truly effects all races in America. I will be releasing these sweaters that can/should be worn all-year long to spread awareness of Black Historic Figures. I encourage you to learn something more about these leaders, as I am challenging myself to as well.
You'll notice this season's sweatshirts have Soul food themed color-ways/names. You probably think I was either hungry (I'll admit it was) but nonetheless, I wanted to pay my respects to Soul Food, a food that is rich in Black American culture. Enjoy!
